Hi there, I'm
Software Engineer Intern @NetflixCurrently working on Optimizing Cloud infrastructure @Netflix Live
Hey there! I am currently working with Netlix Cloud Team optimizing Netflix Live infrastructure components and currently doing Master's in Computer Science with honors at the University of Southern California. As a research assistant under Prof. Hongshuda, I am engaged in developing advanced visualization techniques and building standardized components for various matrix representations with tree views for ontology. Prior to this, I served as a Software Developer at Akamai Technologies, the world's largest CDN company. My professional background includes a strong focus on adopting the most suitable technology for each project, ensuring flexibility and efficiency. Additionally, I am an avid sci-fi enthusiast and enjoy reading a wide range of books. I am always eager to enhance my skills and contribute meaningfully to society. Networking with other professionals and learning from their experiences is something I greatly value. If you are interested in a conversation or would like to share insights, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to connecting and having engaging discussions.

• Designed adaptive scaling policies for AWS EC2 powering Netflix Live, using synthetic traffic and viewership forecasts to cut surplus compute cost by 35%, saving $180K/year and improving peak-time responsiveness.
• Developed policy preview APIs using AWS IAM services highlighting policy action changes and minimizes configuration drift, enabling the platform team to validate policy modifications before deployment and maintain consistent security posture.
• Proactively developed Radar alert packs and Lumen dashboards, reducing alarm-to-action time from 5 minutes to 30 seconds automatically triaging issues thereby reducing MTTR by over 52%.
• Architected a scalable data model and Apache Airflow pipelines to automate ingestion and processing of 1TB+ of protein ontology data, enabling efficient bulk data handling and downstream integration.
• Incorporated Material-UI Treeview and React Hooks to develop advanced data discovery tools, enabling users to extract insights from complex datasets enhancing user engagement by 17%
• Transformed Bot-Manager AngularJS library into a Front-End Pulsar app, cutting down JavaScript bundle size from 7.1 MB to 5.6MB. Implemented dynamic runtime module federation, boosting page load speed by 21%
• Transitioned BotManager APIs to OpenAPI specifications, ensuring robust RESTful compliance; restructured the User Interface, facilitating seamless Akamai API integration and improving developer collaboration by 16%
• Executed and optimized a logistic regression model to tune coefficients for different request anomaly rules, contributing to aunified score for continuous false positive/false negative monitoring and alerting
• Capitalized on Akamai Device Anomaly tables to correlate new signals, creating a continuous feedback loop that improved detection accuracy by 34% and reduced cloud costs by $2M annually
• Streamlined infrastructure setup by developing a Terraform model for REST APIs, reducing configuration time to minutes and enabling domain URL tracking for bot identification, eliminating the need for tedious UI adjustments
• Integrated OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect in CIAM SaaS employing Akamai Identity Cloud
• Replaced manual pipeline with GitHub Actions for an efficient, future-proof system making staging and production deployment seamless saving 28% of time
• Empowered customers to transmit bot/non-bot signals to any analytics platform, ensuring accurate visibility into performance
and behavior of actual users achieving a false positive rate of less than 2%
• Led project from start to finish, beginning with conceptualizing application architecture and designing solution, followed by
overseeing development, deployment, and rollout to GA ensuring comprehensive unit test case coverage
My first internship, which is close to my heart, involved developing a web-based application designed to help senior citizens easily find and access their favorite radio channels by scraping the internet for relevant ones.
Key Contributions:
• Problem Solving: Tackled the challenge of accessibility for seniors by creating a simple, intuitive interface.
• Feature Integration: Enhanced the website with new functionalities and audio controls, making it user-friendly.
• Analytics Implementation: Used Google Analytics to track user engagement, optimizing the experience based on data.
• UI/UX Improvements: Applied modern design principles to ensure an easy and enjoyable user experience.
Impact:
• Enhanced Accessibility: Made it effortless for senior citizens to discover and listen to various radio channels.
• Positive Feedback: The real, positive feedback from users highlighted the significant impact and reach of the application, making this project particularly meaningful to me.
